Funding for all
Need small grants for a classroom project?
Dreaming of attending a conference, numismatic or otherwise?
The Liberty Cap Foundation was started by an iconoclast, Walter J. Husak, who fell in love with 1794 US Large Cents. To honor Walt and his core belief in accessibility and access to learning, we offer 1794 microgrants (worth $1794).

How it Works
Investments fund our microgrants, so as the investments fluctuate, the amount we can give away will vary.
At the beginning of each calendar year, we will announce the number of microgrants available for that year.
1794 microgrants can be applied for year round, until that year’s funds are exhausted.
The Liberty Cap Foundation team reads and evaluates your applications.
